Earth Contact Products (ECP) manufactures the strongest screw pile products in the industry, including the ECP Helical Torque AnchorTM. All components and steel assemblies are produced in ECP’s 85,000 square foot, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, and they will custom configure products for engineered specific applications.
That’s why Foundation Services of Central Florida uses ECP’s anchors exclusively when we need to resist tensile forces in underpinning a foundation and as so often here in Florida, to overcome the problems of weak or wet soil.
Raising existing foundations and constructing new foundations/Pre-Construction Underpinning for residential and commercial structures are our most frequent applications of these products. You will experience little disruption because , since the 1960’s, hydraulic torque motors with very little or no vibration have been used for fast and easy installation of the piles.
ECP Helical Torque AnchorsTM may be the preferred solution for your foundation repair project due to these factors:
Deep helical piers underpinning screw pile products are also referred to as: helical anchors, helical piles, helical piers, screw anchors, cross plate anchors or tie backs. They are steel shafts with helical flights that are advanced to bearing depth by twisting them into the soil. Subsurface conditions must be clearly understood for proper interpretation of the torque conversion, which is monitored carefully throughout the process to estimate pile capacity. When design capacity is reached, the tops of the shafts are bracketed to the structure’s footing to underpin it and prevent settlement.
Helical piers / helical anchors have been used sporadically over 170 years for foundation repair and for underpinning support of new structures and bridges built on weak or wet soil. They are also used for light standards, tieback anchors on retaining walls, elevated walkways, pipeline and pumping equipment supports and for many electric utility applications.
Today, they are the preferred product for resisting tensile forces – such as in the electric utility industry, for guide wires on utility poles and tie down anchors on transmission towers. They are the ideal solution, too, when there is a combined need to resist both tension and axial compression forces – as with metal buildings, canopies and the foundations of monopole telecommunication towers.
ECP’s product line of helical anchors offers a wide variety of options plus custom engineering to ensure the strongest and best foundation repair and new construction support available in the USA. They are only installed by premier, rigorously approved and specially trained engineers and foundation contractors such as Foundation Services of Central Florida, Inc.
All ECP piers, piles and anchors carry a Manufacturer’s 25-year Warranty in addition to our own Limited Lifetime Transferable Warranty on all foundation underpinning projects.

“Although other companies made proposals, we kept reflecting on how knowledgeable, professional, and efficient Robert was. Never-the-less, we spent weeks researching the grouting process, the standards of the industry, and contacting references provided before entrusting the remediation of our home to Foundation Services. …We were in awe of how smoothly the drilling and grout injection process went…at the conclusion of the job, the home site looked exactly as it did at the job’s inception.”
